Programme Description

Tegan is once again under the control of the Mara. This time she takes control of the TARDIS and materialises it on the planet Manussa where the Mara also takes over the Federator's son, Lon.

The Mara uses Lon and Tegan to obtain the Great Cyrstal from the Director of Historical Research. A ceremony is being planned on Manussa to celebrate the exile of the Mara 500 years earlier. The Mara plans to use the ceremony to bring about a corporeal existence.

The Doctor meets with Dojjen who tells him that the only way to destroy the Mara is to find the still point within himself. With the aid of a replica of the Great Crystal the Doctor is able to find the still point and repel the Mara forever. The Doctor tells Tegan that she is now completely free of the Mara.
